Carbon neutral claims that hold up to scrutiny

We measure your footprint, cut what you can, and offset only what remains with verified credits, so your carbon neutrality claim survives audit.

Carbon neutrality built in the right order

See how we sequence reductions before offsets, and why that order decides if a carbon neutral claim is believed.

Reductions before offsets

We cut what you can cut first and offset only the remainder. That order is what makes the claim believable.

Credits we know first-hand

We develop carbon projects and trade credits ourselves, so every credit behind your claim has a documented source.

Operation, product, or event

When you pick a boundary, we build the inventory for exactly that scope: an organization, a product, or an event.

India's first Climate Neutral Now signatory

Infinite was the first Indian company to join the UNFCCC Climate Neutral Now initiative, in 2016.

Offsets used before reductions

Buying credits first and cutting later invites greenwashing claims. We sequence genuine reductions ahead of any offset, so credits only cover what remains.

Credits that do not survive scrutiny

Weak credits damage reputations. We source verified credits against clear integrity checks: a credible standard, additionality, and robust monitoring.

A claim measured against an old standard

PAS 2060 has been superseded by ISO 14068-1, and BSI stopped delivering its PAS 2060 scheme in 2025. We check your claim against the current standard.

Emissions inventory

We build a full inventory for the boundary you want certified: your organization, a product, or an event.

02
Reduction assessment

We find the reductions available before any offsetting, so the footprint you offset is as small as it can be.

03
Credit sourcing

We source appropriately verified carbon credits to cover the residual footprint.

04
Verification documentation

We prepare the documentation for third-party verification and coordinate the review.

05
Claim communication

We prepare the communication package, so you can share your carbon neutral status accurately.

Emissions inventory

A full inventory of the boundary you want certified, with the method and data sources documented.

Reduction plan

A ranked set of reductions to apply before any offsetting, so you cut emissions first.

Verified carbon credits

Verified credits sourced for your residual emissions, chosen against clear integrity criteria.

Verification documentation

The evidence a third-party verifier needs to confirm your carbon neutrality claim.

Communication package

Wording and supporting evidence for sharing your claim with customers and stakeholders.

Straight answers on carbon neutral certification

Start with the questions organizations ask most about standards, carbon offsetting, and verification, then bring us your own claim.

What does carbon neutrality mean?

Carbon neutrality means your net carbon emissions balance to zero. You get there by reducing what you can, then offsetting the rest with verified carbon credits. A third party then verifies the claim.

How is carbon neutrality different from net zero?

Carbon neutrality balances remaining emissions with offsets. Net zero, often validated through SBTi, requires deep cuts across all greenhouse gases, with only residual emissions balanced by removals. Net zero asks for more.

What is the process to achieve carbon neutrality?

We measure your carbon footprint, apply every feasible reduction, and offset what remains with credible, verified carbon credits. The process ends with third-party verification, so customers and auditors can check the claim.

Do I need carbon offsets to become carbon neutral?

Typically, yes. Offsets balance the emissions you cannot yet eliminate through direct reductions. We help you pick credible, high-quality offset projects, and we cut emissions first so you offset as little as possible.

How do you support carbon neutrality certification?

We manage the footprint assessment, reduction planning, offset sourcing, and the verification process, from the first inventory to the final review, so the claim you publish rests on documented evidence.

Which standard applies to a carbon neutral claim?

ISO 14068-1, published in 2023, is the current international standard for carbon neutrality. It supersedes PAS 2060, and BSI stopped delivering its PAS 2060 scheme from January 2025. We check your claim against the current standard.

How do I know a carbon credit is high quality?

Look for a credible standard, genuine additionality, a conservative baseline, robust monitoring, permanence for removals, no double counting, and real co-benefits. We develop and select credits with these integrity criteria in mind.
