01 The challenge
Restoring land across two regions means working with many landowners and many local conditions. The trees also need to survive for decades, with no reversal of the carbon they store.

02 The approach
The project groups 12,000 hectares under one design. A total of 256 families receive 50% of the revenue, so they have a stake in keeping the trees alive.
03 Delivery
At monitoring, 95% of the planted trees had survived, and the project recorded zero reversals. Planting and upkeep gave 4,557 man-days of work, and the project issued 204,147 tCO2e.
